Committed
Volunteers / Service Learners / School Interns
Those volunteers
who commit to seventy-five hours or more receive much more detailed
instruction. Because Garden
Harvest is involved in every kind of farming activity -- vegetable production;
fruit production; perennial and annual flower production; medicinal, culinary,
and aromatic herbs production; beekeeping composting; etc. - it can instruct
according to the individual’s specific interests.
At
this level of instruction, Garden Harvest completes and signs off on all
certificates verifying that so many hours of instruction and fieldwork have
been successfully completed by the referenced volunteer.
This level of participation is very helpful to those who need to
fulfill a certain curriculum requirement of their specific educational
institution as well as for those who want to experience in greater detail more
methods of sustainable agriculture to get a feel for whether this field is a
career choice for them.
